The red tops look like they've already decided on the main transfer saga this summer, with rumours of Cristiano Ronaldo's return to Old Trafford showing no sign of petering out.
According to the Sun, the Portuguese is still refusing to sign a new deal with Real Madrid and his preferred destination would be a return to the club where he made his name – even at the expense of a massive pay day at PSG.
The Sun goes on to list a whole host of reasons why the deal may happen, including the fact Ronaldo will only have two years left on his current deal in the summer and that funds would be made available to Sir Alex Ferguson if Real were willing to sell.

It would cost United around £60million to buy the player back but, with United and Ronaldo sponsors Nike firmly behind the deal, there would surely be the opportunity for some wrangling with regards to how the fee is paid.
It would be fantastic to see Ronaldo back in the Premier League but, with Real surely desperate to hang on to him, it's still hard to see a deal happening this summer.
Meanwhile, the Sunday Mirror are reporting that another Real star could be on their way to Manchester and the Premier League, with City eyeing up a move for striker Gonzalo Higuain.
The Argentinean has nine goals in 17 league appearances for Real this season and it is thought he would be available for around £25million.
City have also been linked with Borussia Dortmund forward Robert Lewandowski, with the Pole indicating that he will leave the German club in the summer.
There's no doubt that City need more firepower up top and, with their financial clout, signing a big name striker before the start of next term looks almost a certainty.
